The modern daycare centre on the green outskirts of the city
Light-flooded rooms and a large, near-natural garden are the hallmarks of the daycare centre in Wabern, municipality of Köniz, on the edge of a forest. It is situated on the area of the Bächtelen Foundation and its farm is only a stone's throw away - it is a popular excursion destination for our children.
In the summer half-year, we conduct weekly fixed forest days with the entire group of children in all weathers: Food from the fire, sleeping under trees and discovering the many wonders of nature make children's hearts beat faster. During the winter season we have access to a gymnasium for our activities.

It is important to us to take the time to answer any questions you may have. We will do our best to find a time that works for your schedule.

Exchange days
If, exceptionally, a child cannot attend the daycare centre on the usual day, the day can be exchanged free of charge within the same calendar week, provided that a place is available on the desired day. The request must be received by the daycare centre manager at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations due to holidays are excluded.
Additional care days will be charged separately as usual.
Out-of-hours care
This daycare centre offers out-of-hour care for children on request, if the parents are unavailable for important professional reasons. The care can be extended to a maximum of 6h30 at the earliest and 20h30 at the latest. Further information on this in the form out-of-hours care.
Observation visits
In order to offer an insight into the day-to-day work of the daycare centre and to make our pedagogical work visible to the parents, we offer visits to the nursery by appointment. Such a visit lasts 1-2 hours and includes a pre- and debriefing session with the daycare centre manager. For further information consult the document Observation visits (in German, in French).

Information on the childcare voucher system
The daycare centre has one week holiday between Christmas and New Year. It is closed on public holidays as well as on the Friday after the Ascension Day and two days a year for team training.
